The 2018 Aerofoce Short Sleeved Tri-suit
The Zone3 Vanquish Wetsuit

As the start of the season draws near I thought I would take an opportunity to share with some of the kits I will be racing in for 2018 for this post we will look at the kit I race in from Zone3.

I am fortunate that Zone3 have been with me since my 2016 year of challenges for as part of Team  Macmillan and I have got to race in some fantastic kit. Roll on to this year and the Zone3 Team have surpassed themselves and created some fantastic looking and functional clothing for the coming season. Take a look at the teaser video below.

I don’t think I have ever been this excited about a race suit. This year I will be racing in the new 2018  Aeroforce Short sleeved suit.

The Aeroforce has been created with speed in mind. It utilises a water repellent Nano coatings to significantly reduce drag and help minimise water absorption during the swim and has a unique textured fabric featured on the chest and the front of the legs is designed specifically to make the suit as Aerodynamic as possible by creating turbulence in a layer of air around the body.

From a nutrition on the go point of view, the suit has two carefully positioned pockets on each side panel to allow nutritional products or other race accessories to be accessed with ease.

Before trying my current suit I tested a few other brands and have to say nothing compares to the speed and comfort of my Vanquish Wetsuit.

The main draw to the vanquish was the thin neoprene on the shoulders. I found with other suits that the thick shoulders pull the arms down and that’s just not fun as it makes you work much harder than you actually need to. This is all thanks to the single piece of neoprene used and some clever fabric choices.

I am Alex, a novice triathlete based in the south west of the UK. I have been dabbling with sprint triathlons since the end of 2014 and I have to admit its been great fun but a lot of hard work, harder than I thought it would have been if I am honest. In 2015 I met Blair Davies of Blair Davies Coaching and I told him about the passion I have found for the sport and also my goals for the future, one day I would love to race in a GB tri suit in an age group race.
