First let me introduce myself, My name is Alex, I am a father to a beautiful toddler, husband to an amazing wife Joanne, a Online Marketing Specialist and novice Triathlete.
I first met Blair earlier this year during an a conversation with the triathlon community on twitter and what followed was a series of exchanges and conversations where I told him about my aspiration to become a GB age group athlete.
I will admit that I have been dabbling in triathlon since last September having joined a local triathlon club and have been following the training plans of a coach local to me.
My biggest problem is that I am a busy person. I have a full time job, have a family and also try to follow a training program as best as I can but things as everything in life don’t fit into a perfect structure and I end up with not training as much as I want or need to.
Blairs concept of coaching is something that I have not seen before but appeals to me, his ethos is to work with you so you can reach your full potential while fitting it all around the everyday riggers of daily life.
The reason your reading this post is because I took the plunge and signed up. Blair has sent me his welcome email which firstly links to Training Peaks to deliver the training plans, secondly a questionnaire asking about my goals and general training availability and lastly a calendar to let blair know what times over the next month I can train and any commitments I have so he can maximise my training with minimal impact to my life.
Join me each week to follow our story and see if I can maintain a balance between work, family and training and to see if I can reach my Goal!
Until then chow for now.
